Dreamscape Fanzine: Thank You to Nigel Glockler!

December 7th, 2019

A huge Thank You to one of my music heroes from my teenage years – and the man responsible for the awesome drumming on Anthem and co-writer of one of the best songs of the 80s, Thunder In The Mountains – Nigel Glockler for posting this great photo on Facebook.

Nigel posted: “As I’ve said before and will say again: writing and playing with Toyah, Joel, Adrian & Phil was such an amazing time in my life and I am so very proud of the music we made.”

Fantastic to know Nigel is so fond of his Toyah days. All of the music from that era still sounds as amazing now as then! Thanks also to Gina Giambalvo-Glockler. Those little A5 booklets are not worthy!! (Photo © Nigel Glockler)

November 3rd, 2019

Nigel Glockler – drummer on Anthem, College Tour/At The Rainbow, Four From Toyah, Anthem Tour, I Want To Be Free, Sphinx/For You, Thunder In The Mountains (yeah, like I needed to detail that but he is a legend!) – was in attendance at Toyah’s final 2019 Crimson Queen Tour date at Brighton Chalk last night. Reunited: Joel, Nigel, Adrian & Phil

October 16th, 2015

Something you don’t see every day – The Toyah band 1981 reunited for first time in 34 years! Joel Bogen, Nigel Glockler, Adrian Lee, Phil Spalding. Not in the same room altogether since a promotional TV appearance for Thunder In The Mountains in Germany, September 1981. Brilliant! One of the best posts in our, almost, 16 years of news. (Thanks to Official Toyah)

Previously Unseen Toyah Photos by Nigel Glockler

June 16th, 2014

Gina Glockler recently sent me a collection of previously unseen photos from 1981’s ‘Anthem Tour’. A really interesting selection of shots from Nigel Glockler’s personal archive, and being shared publically for the first time. I’ll be creating a gallery for these special shots soon but here’s a preview of some. (Thanks to Nigel & Gina Glockler | Photos © Nigel Glockler)
