Could songs from Minx be played live this Autumn for the very first time? – An excerpt from the latest Breaking Through newsletter mentions the possibility: “The autumn live dates as previously reported will focus on the Safari catalogue with some resurrected rarities putting in an appearance. There’s also a chance that one or two (maybe even three!) selections from Minx may just make a live debut too. They will be tried in rehearsal so it’s all still to play for. It would be the first time ever they’ve been performed in a Toyah set list”.
Both Toyah and Hazel O’Connor are playing at the New Quay Music Festival today.

It’s forecast to rain, but there ar.e still plenty of things happening that don’t require a brolly, from Sooty to edible art
11. New Quay Music Festival
The pretty seaside town hosts the three-day festival this weekend, with musical activities getting underway this evening. Held in the centre of New Quay, headline acts include Toyah and Hazel O’Connor.
Tickets are £10 for Friday, £20 for Saturday and Sunday or £40 for all three days – you can purchase yours online or via 01545 561143.
News just in from promoter of York show. This Thursday’s acoustic gig at The Duchess York has been re-scheduled. New date not confirmed but later in year. Refunds can be sought though from original place of purchase in meantime if need be. Friday’s acoustic show at Settle Victoria Hall is all confirmed and going ahead as planned. It’s another of those exceptionally busy Bank Holiday weekends for Toyah, with three festival concerts. Last night there was a full-band gig at Lechlade Music Festival 2014, which is taking place at Riverside Park, Lechlade-On-Thames, Gloucestershire. Over 70 bands are playing through until Sunday.
Tonight Toyah’s Acoustic, Up Close & Personal tour headlines Crick Boat Show, another three-day festival, in Northampton. 25,000 people are expected over the weekend at the annual boat show.
On Sunday Toyah plays another full-band gig at Plymouth Volksfest 2014 in Devon. Also playing at this festival, which has six stages (including a dance village and cabaret tent), are Razorlight, The Feeling, Heaven 17 and The Boomtwon Rats. Toyah is scheduled to be onstage between 6.30 -7.30pm on Sunday evening.
