Kevin Wood
Productions have begun a national tour of Peter Pan,
which played a Christmas season at the Yvonne Arnaud,
Guildford With Toyah Willcox in the title role and Frank
Finlay as Captain Hook, the cast also includes Eileen
Battye, Sara Hillier, Brian Parr, Janice Adnett, Danielle
Batchelor, Jonathan Bex, Karen Chatwin, Peter Davies, Tom
Holmes, Mark Joyce, the Menzah Brothers, Micky Silver,
Paul Sirr, Tom Stammers and George Wood, Peter Denyer's
adaptation, for which he also wrote the lyrics to the
music of Bane Bignold, is directed by Richard Digby
Day, with design by Helga Wood, choreography by David
Samuel, fight direction by Derek Ware, lighting by Bob
Bustance, aerial design by Kirby's Flying Ballet and
musical direction by Paul Smith. It is at the Festival
Theatre, Edinburgh this week.

Toby Anstis, Arthur Bostrom, Paddy Jenkins and Rachel
Pittman.

most unhip and yet most deserving of charities, the Sally
Army, normally has better things to do than wonder
whether or not it gets enough exposure in the media.
But as William Booth
might have told us, the Lord does move in mysterious ways, His
wonders to perform. And when needs must, His helpers can
outdo the likes of Barry J Mishon when it comes to star-studded
extravaganzas.
With Christmas fast
approaching, the army has recruited an impressive range
of performers to give their services - gratis - to its
seasonal CD of extracts from the Bible, The Word in your
ear. Diana Rigg, Denis Quilley, Honor Blackman, Dave Willetts,
Martin Jarvis, Keith Michell, Toyah Willcox and Peter
Bowles all feature, among many others.
